Remove or uninstall the widget

To take the widget off your site, remove the script tag you added. There's no separate "uninstall" button — the widget only runs where its script is present, so removing the script removes the widget.

Steps

  1. Go to wherever you added the install snippet — your global template/header, your platform's custom-code area, or your GTM container.
  2. Delete the InclusifyX script tag:

``html <script src="https://plugin.inclusifyx.com/v1/embed.js" data-site="..." async defer></script> ``

  1. Publish the change.
  2. Reload your site and confirm the accessibility button is gone.

If you installed via Google Tag Manager, remove the InclusifyX Custom HTML tag and republish the container instead.

What happens in the dashboard

With the script gone, your site stops sending heartbeats. The domain moves to Dormant after about 24 hours of no heartbeats. You don't need to do anything else — but you can leave the domain in your dashboard in case you reinstall later.

Optional: clean up

  • You can remove the verification meta tag too, though it's harmless to leave.
  • If you're done with the domain entirely, you can leave it in the dashboard; it simply stays Dormant.
