Run and read a scan

InclusifyX runs an automated WCAG scan on your pages and reports the results to the Accessibility page in your dashboard.

How scans happen

The scan runs in the widget, on your site, when a real visitor loads a page — not on a button press in the dashboard. So scanning starts automatically once the widget is installed and your pages get traffic.

On the Accessibility page, Refresh Scan Results pulls in the latest data the widget has already reported. It doesn't kick off a new server-side scan — there isn't one; the widget is what scans. If the domain has no widget installed yet, install it first (Install the widget).

Reading the result

A scan result shows three headline numbers:

  • Latest score — an overall compliance score out of 100.
  • Conformance — the WCAG 2.2 conformance level reached: A, AA, or — (none). InclusifyX measures against Levels A and AA, which is what the accessibility laws reference; it doesn't grade against AAA.
  • Open issues — the count of detected violations.

Below that, issues are grouped by WCAG rule. Each group shows the rule, its WCAG level, an impact badge, and the specific elements affected, with How to fix guidance. See How to fix common issues.

Severity levels

Detected violations are rated:

  • Critical
  • Serious
  • Moderate
  • Minor

No results yet?

If you see *"No scans recorded yet for this domain. Scans run automatically once the widget is installed and your visitors load a page — results appear here within a few minutes,"* the widget either isn't installed or your pages haven't been loaded since install. Confirm the install and load a page.

Important: what the scan is, and isn't

The automated scan finds specific failing elements — it is not a full accessibility audit. Automated checks catch a portion of WCAG issues; a professional audit is still recommended for full conformance. Some checks can't be decided by a machine at all — those are listed separately as manual-review items, not violations. See Violations vs. manual-review items.
