Domain verification keeps failing

Verification checks for your meta tag on your homepage. If it won't verify, it's almost always that the tag isn't reachable where the check looks.

Check these

  1. The tag is in the <head>. It must be inside <head>…</head> on your homepage, not in the body. View page source and confirm it's there:

``html <meta name="inclusifyx-verification" content="inclusifyx-verify-XXXXXXXX"> ``

  1. It's the exact tag from your dashboard. Re-copy it from the Verify Domain Ownership dialog — don't retype it. The content value must match exactly.
  1. The change is published/live. If your site has a separate "publish" step or a build/deploy, make sure the page with the tag is actually live, not just saved in a draft.
  1. You're verifying the right host. www.example.com and example.com can serve different pages depending on your setup. Put the tag on the page the domain actually resolves to.
  1. Caching/CDN. If you use a CDN or page cache, purge it so the check sees the updated homepage, then verify again.

Then re-verify

Back in the dashboard, open the domain and click Verify Domain. On success, the status changes to Verified.

Keep the tag

Leave the meta tag in place after verifying — removing it can cause a later re-verification to fail.

Note: verification (the meta tag) and the widget install (the script tag) are separate. Verification failing is about the meta tag; if the *widget* isn't showing, see The widget isn't showing at all.
