Accessibility features

The widget gives visitors 19 features they turn on from the toolbar. You choose which are available per domain in Widget Settings, subject to your plan. They're grouped the way they appear in the toolbar.

A few features only do something when the visitor interacts with the page — those are flagged below so a visitor who turns one on and sees "nothing happen" doesn't think it's broken.

Vision & Color

FeatureWhat it does for the visitor
High ContrastBoosts text and UI contrast.
Color-Blind FiltersDaltonization filters for Deuteranopia, Protanopia, and Tritanopia.
Custom ColorsSaturation and grayscale/monochrome adjustments.
MagnifierA magnified lens that follows the cursor. Turning it on shows nothing until the visitor moves the mouse over content — then the area under the pointer is enlarged.
Big CursorA larger, higher-visibility mouse cursor.

Reading

FeatureWhat it does for the visitor
Read AloudReads the page text aloud using the browser's built-in speech. The visitor gets play/pause, a speed control, and a voice picker, and can click any paragraph to start reading from there (click-to-read). Uses the browser's available voices, so the voice list depends on the visitor's device and browser.
Dyslexia-Friendly FontSwitches body text to a more readable typeface.
Reading GuideA horizontal bar that tracks the line you're reading.
Reading MaskDims the page above and below a reading strip.
Content DictionaryWord definitions on demand. The visitor double-clicks a word to see its definition — nothing appears just from turning it on; it waits for a double-click.
Underline LinksUnderlines and highlights links so they stand out.
Text SpacingAdjustable letter and word spacing.
Line HeightAdjustable line height.
FeatureWhat it does for the visitor
Keyboard NavigationMove through the page with Tab, Enter, and Escape.
Focus IndicatorsA strong, always-visible focus outline on the focused element.
Page StructureAn outline of the page's landmarks and headings to jump around by.
Voice NavigationHands-free navigation by spoken command. Requires microphone permission — the browser prompts the visitor to allow the mic when they turn it on. If they deny it (or the browser has no speech recognition), the feature can't start and the widget says so.

Motion & Sound

FeatureWhat it does for the visitor
Stop AnimationsPauses motion, transitions, and auto-playing media.
Screen Reader AidAdds ARIA cues to help assistive technology read the page.

Notes

  • These are visitor-side adjustments. They change the page for that visitor in their browser; they don't change your site's source.
  • A visitor's choices are saved on their own device and persist as they move around your site.
  • Which features your plan includes: Plans & Billing. On Free, 4 are reserved for paid plans — Voice Navigation, Content Dictionary, Page Structure, and Custom Colors.
