Quick start: from sign-up to a live widget
Four steps get the widget live on your site: add the domain, verify it, install the script, confirm it loaded.
1. Add your domain
- Open the Domains page from the left sidebar.
- Click Add Domain (top-right).
- Enter your domain (for example
example.com) and confirm.
2. Verify you own the domain
A new domain starts as Pending Verification. You verify ownership by adding a meta tag to your homepage.
- On the Domains page, open the domain and choose Verify.
- Copy the meta tag shown. It looks like:
``html <meta name="inclusifyx-verification" content="inclusifyx-verify-XXXXXXXX"> ``
- Paste it inside the
<head>of your homepage and publish. - Back in the dashboard, click Verify Domain.
When it succeeds, the domain status changes to Verified. Full details: Verify your domain.
3. Install the widget script
Once the domain is Verified, you get the install snippet.
- On the Domains page (or Widget Settings), copy the install script with Copy.
- Paste it before the closing
</body>tag — in your site's global template/header so it loads on every page, not just one.
The snippet looks like this (your data-site token is unique to your domain):
<script src="https://plugin.inclusifyx.com/v1/embed.js" data-site="YOUR-SITE-TOKEN" async defer></script>Full details, including the site-wide placement that matters most: Install the widget on your site and Show the widget on every page.
4. Confirm it's live
- Open your website in a new tab and reload.
- The accessibility button appears (it loads after the rest of the page).
- In the dashboard, the domain moves from Awaiting Install to Active once your site sends its first heartbeat — usually within a few minutes of a real page load.
If the button doesn't appear, see The widget isn't showing at all.
After it's live
- Adjust position, theme, language, and which features show: Widget Settings.
- Review automated scan results: Run and read a scan.
